I bought 2 of these so four drawers in total. 3 of the 4 drawers were good; however one drawer front was defective, the holes were not where they should have been and I cant finish putting it together. Very disappointing.
So the first one I bought, the first piece I pulled out was broken. I returned it. UPS picked it up because I could not lift the box and bring it to Kohls. The return was seamless. A new one arrived sooner than expected and everything was included and not broken. It did take me about 4 hours to assemble by myself. I am no carpenter but I was able to do it. The instructions were very explicit and easy to understand. I felt accomplished. The product is great and looks more like a piece of furniture than a filing cabinet, which is exactly what I wanted because I have it in a bedroom. I only gave 4 stars because the first package had a broken piece, but like I said the return was seamless. It was probably the delivery guys fault because the first box was pretty beat up. Good product so far. I will change this review if I do not see it holding up well. I put alot of heavy leagal files in it. Time will tell. I do recommend this product.
For the price, the 2-drawer lateral file cabinet is a great addition to a home office. It looks good, the drawers open and close smoothly, and it is easily configurable for either letter- or legal-size files. My only reservation is that I dont recommend it for people who dont enjoy assembly projects. While a Phillips screwdriver was the only tool I needed to assemble this filing cabinet (apart from the Allen wrench that came with it), it took some coordination and skill to put it together. However, thats why its so affordable. Sending the filing cabinet disassembled saves the manufacturer shipping and labor costs. I didnt mind investing a little sweat equity to get a filing cabinet that looks good and is just the right size for my needs - but it costs $100-150 less than other brands.
This cabinet is for home use only. the metal is thin and probably would not hold up to constant use, but for home filing it will suffice. The paint and finish were actually better than I expected.

Set aside several hours to put together. Not hard just time consuming. Very happy with finished product. We will see how it holds up

Looks good once assembled. Read entire instructions and go slowly. Def two person job.
