Set up was not hard, although this frame is Heavy and took two men to lift to fit inside my bedframe. It fits well, with edge room. I find it very easy to use, very comfortable and convenient to operate. The cord for the controller is long enough to mount to either side of the bed. (I did not want a loose remote control. I keep misplacing the one for the TV.) Both my husband and I are suffering from seasonal allergies, and raising the head of the bed at night is helping both of us sleep better. His snoring while not ended, is minimized.
If you need to shift the frame, raise the head or foot all the way up to make room to step inside the frame. Shifting it from that angle is simple and does not strain your back. You can also plug in the electrical cord for the bed or for another appliance if the headboard is partly blocking an electrical outlet. I really recommend this frame.
I was in the market for an adjustable base for quite some time. And, I have to say after a month of using this base, I really feel I got the best bang for my buck. The base arrived very promptly, but its extremely heavy. You absolutely need 2 people to get it up a set of stairs. Its very easy to assemble. You really only have to attach the legs and the mattress retainer. Once you have the legs on, you can plug it in and start enjoying all the aming features. This bed has a massage function, the head can articulate up to 70 degrees (with your mattress feels like youre literally sitting up right), the feet can elevate as well. The remote is back lit, there is underbed lighting, and you can program the remote to remember specific sleep settings. There are no cons to this bed. Its absolutely the best bang for your buck. No other base comes with all those features at this price point. I will state that the massage function is kind of useless if your mattress is thick. Our mattress is 10 thick and we can feel a slight hum/vibration, but no real massage. Thats really not a negative for us anyway because we dont even use that function. I will try and update this review as time goes on, but right now Im a fan.
6 months later and I am still a huge fan! The bed works wonderfully for us with no issues as of yet.
Update: the USB Charger port seems to only work sometimes. Im not taking a star away. Its not a sea breaker, but something to be aware of.
Aming price for a high quality frame. Dont let the price fool you. You are getting a high quality sturdy frame at an extremely reasonable price. Set up was easy for 2 50+ women (one disabled) though the frame is very heavy. Simply open box, cut zip ties, unfold frame, screw in 6 legs, plug in control and cord into outlet, flip over, insert foot bar and whammmo, you have your perfect bed. I combined this frame with the 14 inch gel infused memory foam mattress because I weigh 190 lbs, but could have gone with a thinner mattress. I had a rental hospital bed before this and compared to that, well there is no comparrison. It is so quiet you can barely hear it when you raise the head and legs. The motion is smooth and the height the head and legs raise to is nearly perfect (I would like for my legs to go higher). I had read reviews that claimed that the mattress moved on this frame but have not had that problem, maybe with a lighter mattress but not this one. I am extremely happy that I went with this model and mattress and dont think that I will ever need another bed for the rest of my life. If I do I will definately buy this conbination again.
Really debated 4 vs 5 stars. The bed, as delivered, is 5 stars. Heavy, sturdy, quiet. Works as designed, lighting and USB ports are nice. Massage is pretty lame....very mild. But the major features are spot on and the bed is extremely sturdy. I removed a star because I purchased this bed to sit in a very large, antique reproduction bed frame that is very high. I ordered this bed bc there were leg extensions available to raise the height. When they arrived, they are significantly narrower/smaller diameter than the original legs. While they screw in and technically fit This has to affect stability, and absolutely affects aesthetics. They should offer leg extensions that are a match to the original legs.
Even with this problem, its a solid bed at a good price.
I got this yesterday and I couldnt wait to assemble it and give it a try! It was easy to assemble and not so heavy that it was difficult to move around. We put our mattress on it last night and gave it a try! After one night, Im never going back! It was awesome! Ive been having some serious draining from sinuses and one night down and I didnt wake up with that cough and sore throat! Woohoo!
As stated in the product write up, once out of the box, I had the item set up and ready to go in 5-10 minutes. I do recommend help with moving the box and turning the base onto its feet once set up though. I am a large man, but have issues with my legs. While I had to do this by myself and did, I really should have had help. But nevertheless, the base is great. Because I can now elevate my head and/or feet as needed, I am getting some good sound sleep.

Got two of these to make a king bed . Happy with them only drawback a little noisy on Massage settings.
Reading in bed is so much more comfortable

Awesome for back pain
Love the base. I have back problems. This helps so much. I will never go back to a flat base again
Solid bed.
