Great inexpensive bunk bed for a young child

Great bunk bed set! We purchased it for my 10 year old son. It arrived pretty quickly, Prime is great. No damage to the box or contents inside. Overall it was relatively easy to put together, but it did take some time (2-3 hours) simply because of the amount of parts and there are a few times having someone to help made things much easier. The instructions were very good, accurate with good diagrams or pictures and everything labeled nicely. Only knock on assembly is that a couple of the hex head screws wouldn't completely thread into their holes. It seems that the tapping of the holes were incomplete. When assembly was completed it is a very good bunk bed. Very sturdy. It doesn't take up much space in a room, which is exactly what we needed. Don't expect to use a box spring with the mattress on either lower or upper bed. For the full size lower bed - if you do use a box spring there will not be much space between the mattress and underside of the top bunk. For the twin size upper bed- if you use a box spring the rails won't be above the mattress to prevent someone from falling out. But it is designed to not need a box spring, and is still very comfortable without it, pending quality of the mmattresses you use. There are many (over a dozen or so) crossbars under the mattresses design to fully support them. I slept in it with my son and had a good night sleep. A couple of cons: 1. The ladder rungs or steps are a little uncomfortable on bare feet. This was easily solved by covering it with a small section of pool noodle wrapped with electrical tape or something similar. 2. Location of the ladders. They're placed at the back. I placed the bunk against a wall. I wanted to put a desk on one side and night stand on the other, but that made access to the ladders impossible. So I swapped location of the ladders from the back, moving them towards the front to allow easier access to the upper bunk. In a nutshell my son absolutely loves it!! We've had it for a few weeks now. Both lower and upper beds have been used often. Kids have been all over it. He hosted a sleepover and at one point there were 5 boys on the bed and it has held up just fine to whatever our son has exposed it to. We are very satisfied with this purchase. Good quality, well made, durable, inexpensive, and overall a good value. I recommend this for someone looking for a good inexpensive bunk bed that doesn't take up much space.
