I purchased a Full unit with mattress, and BOY, was it heavy... But not unexpected, based on what Id read. You need 2 people to set this unit up, just based on what it takes to lug it around. That said, setup was a cakewalk. No tools were needed except for some cutters to clip the tie-wraps that secured parts of the base for transit, and a ror knife to gently cut open the vacuum bag the mattress comes sealed in for shipping. Some of the larger mattresses might need 48-72 hours to inflate before being sleep-ready, but my Full-size mattress was ready for snoozing in just a full 24-hour day. Plugging in all the controls and power cables was easy enough, being an just an AC Adapter and the wired remote needing to be plugged into the wiring harness. Everything else was good to go out of the box. There was a very light Fresh from factory smell to things as they came out of the plastic, but no smells lingered that I could notice. This is easily the best bed Ive ever owned.
Perfect, but weighty!
