I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews before I settled on this bench. This is the only one that fit our size requirements and got consistently good reviews. We have a very small entryway, really just a hallway, but still needed a bench to take shoes on and off. For the money, the bench is quite sturdy. Even though our floor isnt level the bench doesnt wiggle or seem unsteady. The fabric on the seat feels cheap, but if it doesnt last it could be recovered easily. We arent using the shelves underneath for shoes but I would say you could fit about 3-4 pairs on each shelf, depending on size. I took one star off for bad (really no) directions. My husband and I put it together in about 45 minutes.
