Very, very solid! Packed very well. Arrived with no scratches even though outside box was damaged in shipping. It came 5 days before the day it was supposed to arrive, and all the parts were there were labeled. It took me and my 8 year old daughter about 4 hours to assemble, but I was very methodical and slow. We did an inventory of all parts before we began, and I read other consumer reviews for helpful hints. I even switched the ladder to the other side /and did so correctly!! Only negative about the bed is that the ladder rungs are thin, round and hard, so they have a tendancy to hurt the bottoms of my daughters feet. Im thinking of getting some swimming noodles and attaching with double sided tape around the rungs to lessen the impact. i am enjoying it
